Where do I begin? My career in real estate began in 2002 from what I believed was the next step in my long career in sales management and customer-centric service. I had been working my entire life building and training sales teams in some of the most customer service based industries I could find. All the while believing in not “selling” items that didn’t bring value to people, I always wanted to be based in an environment that allowed me to help people with what I could provide. When my real estate career began it was based on the concept of “What could be better than helping people find their dream home!” Quite frankly cutting my teeth in the industry has been difficult but rewarding work, however through every challenge you gain experience and growth.
I believe that working hard for my clients, teaching and guiding them through home buying and selling process, and genuinely putting their needs first helps make what many have probably told you is the “most stressful thing they’ve ever done” an easier process then you’d ever expect. Simply put I love what I do and I love the people I do it for.
Outside of work I am very fortunate enough to have what I consider to be “it all”. I have a wonderful wife, Jenn, and I am the Dad to an amazing little girl, Aria, that is the light of my life! I am proud of what we have built together. I have their full support in a career that is 24/7 and I am a better Realtor because of them.
There is not a day that goes by that I don’t think about the fact that what I do helps others achieve their own dream. In fact, it is this reason when my partner Lori and I were trying to pick the perfect name for our team, that I proposed Key To The Dream! I too, like Lori, have a menagerie of four legged family members. Maple, my rescue dog that was adopted from a shelter in CT, and Monkey, my cat, who many years ago I rescued his entire litter at the age of about 6 weeks from behind a fast food restaurant. After I had successfully found homes for all of his siblings I just couldn’t part ways with my little buddy. Last but not least, there are my two rescue geckos (yes there is such a thing) Kurt and LG. I am very passionate about animals, especially those that are less fortunate, in fact many years ago I helped start a non-profit rescue group and worked very hard to help promote pet adoption and welfare.
In my “free” time I love exploring the local craft beer scene by attending tastings and brewery tours. You can follow my “adventures” to learn more about the Massachusetts and Rhode Island (maybe beyond!) brews here. My favorite is my first Monday of every month “beer club” that features a new brewery each time. I try to never miss this one! It is my usual group of a few friends and has now expanded to a few past clients. We all share that same passion for learning about the process of brewing as well as all the subtleties of various ingredients. I think we all relish in our quest to become “beer snobs”. I also love to go hiking and camping which is something that has been on the back-burner since my daughter was born. However with her PASSION (dare I say obsession) for owls, I know I have many years of outdoor fun to be had with my family in the near future.
Key To The Dream began out of pure chance and a little luck. You see, I needed help with a transaction in a state that I was not licensed and I asked around to other agents who could help….Lori’s name kept coming up. After Lori and I completed that one (successfully mind you) I believe we both saw the same work ethic, drive, and passion for our clients in each other. To this day if you ask me when the partnership began I couldn’t tell you the exact moment. It is something that evolved like most great partnerships; Abbott and Costello, Lucy and Desi, peanut butter and jelly. The element I love the most about our team is that while all too often others become complacent in their success, granted, if something works why change it? However, Lori and I recognize that real estate is not a one size fits all process. Lori and I bring different approaches, different “styles” if you will to the table. We are always behind the scenes hammering out different ideas, approaches and ways to get the job done for you! In fact time, and time again, when we collaborate on a potential pitfall or challenge we know we have struck gold when our differences in opinion become one. All too often we hear from clients that have not been happy with their past experience, or who they’ve been working with because they recognize that once something was presented that was a challenge that there were no other options given. Our team works very hard to never let that happen, we believe in accountability, communication and honesty which has proven to be our recipe for success in achieving your goal.
“Proud” would be an understatement in expressing how I feel about my real estate career and even more so about Key To The Dream. In 2016 both Lori and I acheived “International Diamond Society” status….that’s top 11% of 88,000 agents worldwide and no small undertaking. We are rooted in the traditional brokerage and tried and true real estate ways with Coldwell Banker however, we are also “new school” tech savvy with our ZipRealty (born on technology) power. I am constantly seeking out and testing new apps, websites and marketing features to get our clients MAXIMUM exposure on the internet…..think about it you ARE reading this right now aren’t you?
